Gladys Lucille Janney Hodges

Gladys Lucille Janney Hodges, age 92 of Rocky Mount passed Sunday, November 3, 2024. She was born May 26, 1932, a daughter of the late Ernest and Leeomie Shivley Janney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Guy, Saford and Gary Janney; and one sister, Lois Janney. Surviving are her daughter, Karen Burwell; grandchildren, Jace (Andrea) Wray and Jade (Glen) Martin; great-grandchildren, Pheonix Teaford, Khristian and Kane Wray; two sisters, Goldie Davis and Doris Turner; special nephew, Donald Janney; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gladys was retired from DuPont with over 30 years of service. She loved her many pets that she had over the years as she would always become attached to them. Gladys was a faithful member of Rocky Mount Church of God. A graveside service will be held at Franklin Memorial Park, 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2024 with Pastor Robert Meredith officiating. Her family will receive from 12:30 noon – 1:30 p.m. at the Flora Funeral Service prior to the service. friends In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist with expenses (P.O.
