Temperatures will reach the middle to upper 60’s ahead of the storm system this afternoon, which will likely take the form of a line of shower or storms as it moves east.

The Storm Prediction Center has our area in a marginal risk of severe storms today due to the high wind shear in place that can lead to damaging winds in storms in certain conditions.

The instability today won’t be as high as it could be, however, due to dew points only making it into the lower 40’s.

Still, the line may have 40 mph winds and heavy rainfall in it as it scoots east this evening.

Behind the rain, colder weather and mountain snow moves in on gusty winds Thursday and Friday. A clipper could even bring us a few areas of light snow Friday evening.
