Ferrum College Men’s Lacrosse Gets First Win of the Season

DANVILLE, Va. — The Ferrum College men’s lacrosse team picked up its first win of the season, 10-1 over non-conference opponent Averett University tonight at Campbell Stadium.

THE BASICS
Ferrum opened a 3-0 lead on early goals by Mackoy Bodmer. Mason Foy broke up the shutout with a goal at 5:48 of the first half. Bodmer and Ronald Carney added a goal each to give Ferrum a 5-1 lead at the break.

Carney, Jacob Boswell and Cam Steeley each added a goal in the second half, and Bodmer tallied the final two of his game-high six goals.

Tonight’s game marked the second time this season that Bodmer scored six goals. He also has six goals in Ferrum’s non-conference loss to Methodist University Feb. 16 at home.
