John Clay Bibbee

John Clay Bibbee, age 52 of Ferrum passed away unexpectantly on Saturday, August 4, 2018 with his devoted wife by his side. He was born in Charleston,
West Virginia on March 11, 1966 to the late Clyde R. Bibbee Jr. and Frances Newhouse. He married Jennifer James Bibbee of Ferrum on March 15, 1994. He
served his country in the United States Navy for nine years. For the last 15+ years, he and his wife owned and operated a successful business, Bibbee and
Associates Appraisal Services. Those who knew John, knew that he loved life and was always there for those he loved. He was the kind of man who would
give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. John was an avid outdoorsman who loved kayaking, fishing, shooting, and reloading. He was
constantly looking for ways to “reinvent the wheel” and make things bigger and better. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his grandparents
and his sister-in-law, Christy Michelle James. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Jennifer Bibbee; his four legged fur baby, Tula; son, Zachary Bibbee
(Mary); daughter, Ashleigh Martin; granddaughter, Elyssa Martin; brother, James “Jimmy” Bibbee (Pam); sister, Jody Stier (Freddy); father and mother-in-
law, Jeff (Judy) James; sisters-in-law, Melissa Chittum (Jason), Ashley Kraft (Mike); niece, Evelyn; nephews, William, Luke, and Levi; and his closest
friends, Lee and Robin Walker. John will be missed beyond words by all who knew and loved him. A private memorial service will be planned at a later date.

Cora Elizabeth Pardue Bryant

Cora Elizabeth Pardue Bryant, age 81 of Eggleston went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, July 31, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents,
Johnson and Ellen Pardue; a sister, Katie Swaim; a brother, Lonnie Pardue; and seven grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Pastor, Dr. Joe
Bryant; sons, Matthew (Della), Mark (Joyce); daughter, Beth Yoder (Allen); ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a sister, Betty
Bryant.  Elizabeth spent many years serving the Lord as a pastor's wife. She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church, Ripplemead, Va. A service of
worship of the Lord and celebration of her life will be led by Pastor Shahn Wilburn at the Church Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive visitors from 1:30 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. prior to the service. Burial will be Monday, August 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Oaklawn Gardens, 3250 High
Point Rd., Winston-Salem, N.C. Pastor James Reese will be in charge of the committal service.  Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and

Frances W. Church

FrancesChurchFrances W. Church, age 79 of Boones Mill, Virginia, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Frances was born in Ashland, West Virginia on May 12, 1939. Since her late husband Billy Joe Church’s passing in 1977, she dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After a short career with the FBI and raising her children, she worked in management for several regional pharmacies before retiring. In addition to her late husband, Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Frank E. and Inez Guilliams Willis; her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Church; and her sister, Emma Lawless. She is survived by her three children, Tamey Conner, Mark Church (Lynn), and Marlene Wray (Michael); her six grandchildren, Christen Church (Donnie Parrish), Jessica Nichols (Eric Jantz), Adam Church (Abbey), Sydney Church (Dan Stenger), Megan Whitaker (Sam), and Laura Conner; and her six great-grandchildren, Braxton Nichols, Bethany Conner, Isla Church-Parrish, Sullivan Church-Parrish, Jaxon Whitaker, and Aaron Church; her “adopted” son, Clifton Gill; her sister, Becky Darago (Carl); her brother, Bobby Willis (Linda); and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Frances’ long-time friend, Virginia Bussey, and to Good Samaritan Hospice. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 at Flora Funeral Home in Rocky Mount, Virginia. The funeral service will be held at Flora Funeral Home on Saturday, August 4 at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Richard Huggins of Lakeland, Florida will be officiating. Betty Jane Deaton Angle

Betty Jane Deaton Angle, age 73 of Rocky Mount died Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Mrs. Angle was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Bertha
(Denlinger) Deaton; in-laws, Carl and Gladys (Peters) Angle; sister, Mary Ellen Flick; and brother-in-law, Martin Brubaker. Surviving are her
husband, David Angle; children, Karen and Benjamin Bowman, Priscilla and Rex Austin, Mark and B.J. Angle; grandchildren, Cody, Torie and Tyler Bowman, Kurt and Madelyn, Chloe, Eli and Will Austin, Joseph Angle; sisters, Ruth Brubaker, Anna Mae and Forrest Kinzie; brothers, Dean and Janet Deaton, Dale and Sharon Deaton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Ellen Flick, Dale and Mary Ann Angle, Dean and Denise Angle, Glen and Carol Angle; special friends, Harmon and Wanda Beckner. Funeral services will be conducted from Oak Hill Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 10 a.m. Friday with the Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carilion Hospice of Franklin County. Her family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Church. John Amos Bussey

John Amos Bussey, 70 of Rocky Mount passed away at home Friday, July 27, 2018. He was born September 4, 1947, the son of Charlie A.
Bussey, Jr. and Virginia Hylton Bussey. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeffery Dean Bussey (infant); two brothers, David Bussey
and Arthur Bussey; and mother-in-law Sally W. Cundiff. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sylvia Cundiff Bussey; son, Darin S. Bussey (Susan);
granddaughter, Kelsi A. Medders (Cameron); grandson, Dean Amos Bussey (fiancé, Shelby Knighten); two great-granddaughters, Alex Denise and
Scarlett Lidia Medders all of Eagle River, Alaska; two sisters, Martha Montgomery (Gerald) and Ruth Cupp (Ted). John was proud to have served his country in the 2 nd Battalion, 1 st Marine in Vietnam. The family request in lieu of flowers, if you would like to donate to a project close to your heart. A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the Fairview Church of the Brethren.
