Franklin Co. Jail Receives a 100% Rating from Unannounced Audit

jail2Sheriff Bill Overton announces the Department of Corrections (DOC) Auditor made an annual, unannounced visit to the Franklin County Jail. Sheriff Overton said, "On March 15th, the DOC Auditor, Wayne Solomon, came to hold the Life, Health and Safety Audit. This audit consists of 43 standards and we are very pleased to say, we passed with a 100% rating."


These 43 standards and proofs are under the watchful eye of Medical Officer Deputy Megan Patterson. Deputy Patterson said, "This Life, Health and Safety Audit pertains to the well being of all our inmates at the jail. This is a very important audit and we are very excited to have achieved a 100% rating again."


Corrections Captain Duane Amos stated, "This is a huge success for the Office of the Sheriff and we are very proud of all our deputies in our jail who assisted in making this happen."
