Three Arrested for Stealing Tools, Chainsaws, from Waid Park

waidpark3ROCKY MOUNT - Three people from Rocky Mount are facing felony grand larceny in connection with a reported theft at Waid Park on August 27, according to Captain Phillip Young of the Franklin County Sheriff's Department.

Debra Shaver, 34, Ronald Duncan Jr., 40, and Jason Ramey, 29, all of Rocky Mount, have each been charged with felony grand larceny. Duncan and Ramey have also been charged with felony burglary.

Young says the theft was reported on August 27 by the recreation park. Tools, chain saws, and leaf blowers were stolen. Investigators were able to college evidence left at the scene which led them to the suspects. Most fo the stolen property was recovered, Young said.

Shaver and Ramey were released on $2,500 bond, and Duncan was released on $5,000 bond. 

More charges may be pending, Young said, as the investigation continues.
