Sheriff's Dept. Arrests Two Glade Hill Brothers for $13,000 Worth of Stolen Items

morrisonsWESTLAKE - The Franklin County Sheriff's Office has arrested two brothers after a series of break-ins and larcenies in May, according to Captain Phillip Young. 

Harold Morrison, 49, of Glade Hill was arrested after a break-in at the Westlake Bojangle's May 21. Workers noticed missing cash from the restaurant. Morrison admitted to his involvement in the break-in after breing interviewed by investigators. He was arrested on May 25 and released on $5,000 secured bond. Investigators have also connected him to the stealing of a utility trailers in Bedford and Roanoke. 

Tony Morrison, 48, of Glade Hill was arrested May 31 following a larceny from Franklin Outdoors on Booker T. Washington Highway. According to the owner, five ski tubes were stolen around 5 a.m. Tony Morrison has been charged with grad larceny and has been linked to other stolen items including tools from Epworth Church, tires from Sigmon Automotive, and a wood chipper in Bedford. 

A total of $13,000 in stolen items have been recovered so far, investigators say. Additional charges are pending against both men.
