Sheriff’s Office Presents Awards to Members
Donna Kelley (35 years with FCSO), Sheriff Overton and Camille Bower (5 years of service)
ROCKY MOUNT – The Office of the Sheriff recently presented awards to several members of the force. The awards are typically presented at the annual awards ceremony, however, that event had to be cancelled due to COVID.
“I am honored for these men and women to be a part of our organization. We are a better agency because of their hard work and dedication”, said Sheriff Overton.
Donna Kelley (35 years with FCSO), Sheriff Overton and Camille Bower (5 years of service) 
Investigator Steve McFarling received the “Shining Star” Award for his work on a major break-in during 2020. 
Deputy Dylan Smith and Sgt. Steve Grantham received the “Shining Star” Award for a lifesaving event in which they performed CPR on a subject until rescue arrived.
