BREAKING: One Fatality Reported in Fire Near Snow Creek

FRANKLIN COUNTY – One person was killed in a late night mobile home fire on Lovell Lane, according to first responders on the scene.

The call went out at 1:10 a.m. from the 200 block of Lovell Lane from a woman who said her home was on fire. The woman told dispatch she was trying to get everyone out and had to walk to get a phone signal to call 9-1-1.

Crews from Snow Creek, Glade Hill, and Fork Mountain were dispatched to the scene. Crews from neighboring Henry County were called for mutual aid. Rescue units from Cool Branch and Franklin County Public Safety also responded.

Firefighters found light smoke showing from the mobile home when they arrived. One person was reported dead and another has been transported for medical care.

A landing zone for Life Guard was set up at the intersection of Shady Grove and Snow Creek Road.
