Reynolds Wraps Up Win for Ferrum Women’s Lacrosse

FERRUM, Va. — Erin Reynolds had six goals to lead Ferrum College to a 15-2 non-conference women’s lacrosse win over visiting Delaware Valley University this afternoon at W.B. Adams Stadium.

THE BASICS
The Panthers scored early and often in this one, opening a 6-0 lead in the first 14 and a half minutes of play on a pair of goals each by Reynolds and Kaitlyn Harley, and one each by Megan Allen and Micaela Harvey.

Reynolds widened the lead to 7-0 with her third score at 9:13 of the first half, then Shannon Petrillo broke up the shutout with a goal for the Aggies at 3:53. Harley found the back of the net with 27 seconds left before halftime and the score was 8-1 at the break.

The second half was all Ferrum, as Reynolds netted three more goals, Bianca Cellitto had a pair and Harvey added two more to her stat line. Gabby Borst scored the final goal of the game at 4:26 for Delaware Valley.

NEXT GAME
Coach Karen Harvey’s team will be back in action Tuesday, March 17, at Washington and Lee University to open Old Dominion Athletic Conference play. The game is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start in Lexington, Virginia.
