ROCKY MOUNT – Grammy Award winning country music singer LeAnn Rimes will be coming to the Harvester Performance Center in Rocky Mount Friday night, June 28, according to Harvester CEO Matt Hankins.

LeAnn Rimes will be coming to the Harvester Performance Center in June, Cable 12 has learned. An official announcement and ticket info will be released by the Harvester this week.

Rimes will perform acoustic for the concert, she may be joined by one or two band members.

Rimes broke into the mainstream music scene in 1996 when she was just 13 years old with her cover of Bill Mack’s “Blue”. She immediately became known for her Patsy Cline-like singing voice.

Rimes has won two Grammy Awards, a Country Music Association (CMA) Award, and three Academy of Country Music Awards. Her 1997 hit “How do I live” was called the most successful song of the 1990’s by Billboard Magazine, according to Wikipedia.

Cable 12 learned of this information early via the show “Hanging at the Harvester”, which airs on Cable 12 Monday nights at 7 p.m.

The Harvester Performance Center says tickets are $81 for general admission and $101 for the front, gold section. Head to harvester-music.com for ticket information.
