Bret Bowles Wins Sportsmanship Award

FRANKLIN COUNTY – Bret Bowles has been recognized by Franklin County Parks and Recreation after being nominated for the Sportmanship Award for the Callaway 5/6 Basketball Team.

Bret has never played basketball prior to this season.

“He worked hard at each practice and played harder at games. He never complained and also did what was asked of him,” a Facebook post stated.

Bret let a younger and smaller player win a practice game during the season.

“He was a pleasure to have on our team,” the post said.
