MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Ferrum College posted a rare double-shutout today with a pair of non-conference softball wins during the team’s Spring Break ’19 trip. The Panthers opened the day with a 3-0 win over Wesley College, then followed with a 5-0 victory over King’s (Pa.) College.

THE BASICS
In the opener, Lois Carpenter‘s third-inning sacrifice fly scored Cheyenne Strickland and that was all Ferrum would need. Jasmine Agee pitched the entire seven innings to earn the win.

Against King’s, McGeHee had a three-run homer to center field in the sixth inning, while Scott and Oakes each had a pair of base hits. Ashton Lambeth pitched all seven innings with two strikeouts to collect the win and remain perfect on the mound this season at 3-0.
